- Client: South Asian startup, cryptocurrency derivatives exchange
- Vacancy: Front-end Engineer
- IT Role: Middle/senior front-end developer
- Consultant: Alexey Anisimov
On the recommendation of one of our regular clients, an international fin-tech startup looking to create its own cryptocurrency derivatives exchange contacted GlobalCareer. They were looking to hire a new employee in Russia. For a small company with a team distributed all over the world and an office in London, the location was unimportant, but the economic benefit was understandable.
The team needed a front-end developer capable of taking on challenges to create workable solutions that could be shared among other employees.
And since there was no expertise in front-end development in the company, the recruiter was required not only to offer candidates with relevant experience but also to independently evaluate their technical readiness.
Interest in remote front-end developer positions is usually higher outside the state. Therefore, the main task of the consultant was not only to search for candidates but to evaluate their compliance with the vacancy profile and conduct a technical interview.
Alexey Anisimov, GlobalCareer consultant, says: «The client was interested in combining and unifying all front-end tasks. The task was to look for a React specialist who had a systematic approach to the organization of their work. As part of the technical interview, we evaluated not only programming experience, but also experience in making architectural decisions, developing autotests, using development tools; we were looking for someone who had the ability to solve problems comprehensively and make independent decisions.»
The first candidate presented to the employer was highly appreciated by the partner IT company, and a job offer followed. But since the employer did not have experience in concluding labor relations in Russia, both the employer and the candidate received full support from us in these legal matters.
Over the course of several months, our candidate proved to be excellent, and the company again sought our help for another specialist — DevOps engineer. We consider repeat requests to be one of the most important attestations of our work.
We have been working with scarce vacancies of IT-specialists for 10 years. We find candidates for a specific vacancy profile, study the labor market according to your requests, provide support at the selection planning stage. We will be happy to share our experience in IT recruitment if you leave a request on our website.
